In order to sell life or accident and sickness insurance in Canada, you must first be trained by a regulator-approved education provider such as Oliver, pass provincial insurance licensing exams and be contracted by an insurance company or managing general agency (MGA).
Everything you need to get started is here at your fingertips.
The three boxes below describe the three main types of courses available on this site; life insurance agent courses, accident and sickness insurance agent courses and top-up courses. Your choice of a course within a box below will determine which provincial insurance exams you can be certified to write and what type of insurance products you can be licensed to sell.
Tip 1: The Life Insurance Agent course automatically includes the Accident and Sickness Agent course.
Tip 2: The Top Up courses are only for individuals who already have an insurance license.
